[NTUSU] Dissolution of Partnership with uWave
NTUSU would like to extend our appreciation and gratitude to the Wave team for the partnership the past 1.5 years, bringing much convenience and accessibility to our members and fellow students in the NTU community. We would like to apologise for any confusion arising from the series of statements shared by both parties. We would also like to take this opportunity to clarify that NTUSU has no other associations with the Reddit thread that has been going around. For all other matters, you may find clarifications on our decision below: It has not been an easy decision, however, NTUSU places utmost importance on placing students at the forefront of our decision making. Over the last few months, the founder had signalled a change in direction from their organisational objectives that differ significantly from that of our initial agreement, with the team venturing its operations to other Universities as a start-up. Upon further evaluation, NTUSU has also decided against the feasibility of managing the discussion forum on Wave due to differences in the objectives and direction between NTUSU and Wave team. Therefore, due to: i) breaches in our memorandum of understanding; ii) lack of transparency in terms of communication to both NTUSU and users, iii) unprofessional conduct by the Wave management team, iv) NTUSU's decision to not proceed with the discussion forum, NTUSU has informed Wave that we will not be continuing our support for Wave moving forward. NTUSU will continue to focus our efforts on supporting students on our main feedback channels (Instagram, Facebook, U-Feedback Form and Email). Students may still find the discounts, updates and information via our website (ntusu.org). Should you like to reach out to us or have any concerns that you’d like to raise or share with the Union, you may send us a feedback via [email protected]. Once again, we thank the Wave team for their support in the past and wish them the best in their new direction.

Thank you NTUSU for the partnership! The uWave team wishes to clarify that while we do not have a feature on the app that the user can use to delete the account, users may email
(as we previously received such requests), or through the feedback channel in the settings page. We also removed several posts asking to delete their account. As this is done by multiple users and in a short time frame, we removed them as they broke the community guidelines on spammy behavior. Users may refer to uWave's TNC and Privacy Policies, or email for clarification. Our data policy is in line with Singapore's PDPA.
